Passion for skiing and teaching
Transition offers private ski instructing and coaching in Portillo, Chile, and Niseko, Japan. Currently, Transition is run by James Winfield, whose love of skiing and teaching has taken him all over the world and keeps him on snow over 200 days a year. Lessons are available for all levels of skier and can be taken in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
James started instructing over 10 years ago in New Zealand, and since then has taught in Switzerland, Italy, Chile, Japan and the US, for a total of 20 full time seasons. He holds his full certification from New Zealand, as well has having passed the Eurotest, a demanding GS race required for European top certifications. In his time instructing he has taught and coached all types of skier, from beginners through to aspiring athletes and instructors.
